<description>The visit has enabled me to draw useful comparisons with farming and conservation in
another European country and put the work that I carry out in the UK into a wider
context. The experience that I have gained on the visit will be used when advising farmers
and landowners on how to fit habitat management alongside a profitable farming business.
I will share my experiences with my colleagues and within my organisation.

<description>Slovenia is a fascinating country which packs a huge amount into a small area. This exchange trip provided a wonderful opportunity to get “under the skin” of the country, to see it through the eyes of its inhabitants, as well as those of a tourist, and to get a real feel for some of the many conservation, land management and rural development issues facing Slovenians today.
